Being a new MMO, there’s a big and varied map in Lost Ark. But departing from most MMO conventions, there’s actually a lot more depth than one would expect. Of all the different systems, the game has a lot to offer. It would seem the team has taken cues from both other genre competitors, as well as other open-world games. The addition of Life Skills already adds a dimension of complexity to the game. There’s tons of gathering and crafting that can be done as well. One such aspect of this system is Collectibles. There’s a bunch of different items that can be collected. Lost Ark loves to give players things to hunt for. The items you collect will be placed on the Adventurer’s Tome, allowing you to track various bits of progress. You will need to put some time into finding it for when you plan to complete the Adventurer’s Tome.
Where to farm Portal Stones in Lost Ark
Like other items in the Adventure Tome, these items can be hard to find. Such as with the Aquilok’s Head and Aquilok’s Tail are like this. The Bloody Rod is another such rare item. And just like those items, Portal Stones in Lost Ark are very hard to come by.
Portal Stones are one of the main Collectibles in Lost Ark and are extremely rare. There’s very little chance of finding them as random drops unless you know where to look. Three of the major locations where you’ll find the Portal Stones are Loghill, Ankumo Mountain, and Rethramis Border. Killing mobs in these zones all have a chance to get you some Portal Stones in Lost Ark. The Loghill region may also drop some. Pretty much killing anything in the Rethramis continent will have a small chance to drop collectible items. And no, higher difficulty levels won’t affect world drops.
You could try looking in dungeons, or taking on World Bosses, if you’re not having any luck.
There are plenty of other things to learn about Lost Ark beyond this simple stuff. Strongholds that act as bases for crafting, seem to have some folks confused. There’s also that premium sub that some players are curious about. Doing things like dismantling gear is pretty important too. Learning how to do that can help your crafting efforts a bit. Get out there and start exploring, adventurer. Handling gear upgrades is another important aspect, mostly via Engravings and other upgrades.
