Where is the Drifter in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 2.2.1 Patch to Buff Drop Rates

The Drifter in Destiny 2 is one of many NPCs that people seem to have trouble finding. And with many new and old players jumping in to help with the new Guardian Games event, there’s going to be a lot of confused players wondering where the heck to go looking for the various NPCs in the game. Lucky for you though, it’s actually pretty easy to find the Drifter.

He is not located in the main part of the Tower, and can instead be found in the Tower Annex. You can either spawn within the Tower’s main area, and run across the map looking for the Drifter in Destiny 2, or you can head directly to his location by spawning right at the Tower Annex. If spawning at the latter location, he right ahead from the spawn point and to the right.

Check the map screenshot below for the exact point to look for.

Open up the map in the Director, there will be an option to place a waypoint, drop one on the Drifter and it will make finding them easier.

The Drifter was introduced in a previous season of post-launch content. He brought in two new major game modes, known as Gambit and The Reckoning. Each of these game modes offers its own unique experience, and there’s plenty of challenge for old veterans as well. Gambit has a mix of PvE and PvP, where two teams try to outdo each other. Teams trade off between attack and defense, with waves of AI enemies in to complicate matters.

The Reckoning mode is a lot more simple as a basic PvE horde mode. Players have to survive against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. And despite its simplicity, it’s really fun. The Drifter also gives out special bounties and quests on a weekly basis, and you will often find yourself heading to him to complete various Exotics quests.
