The Nintendo Direct this week was loaded with tons of new announcements. We’re finally getting a few sequels like Bayonetta 3, which fans have wanted for years. New in-game events are coming to various Switch titles, and there are even expansions for some big names on the platform. One such reveal concerns Capcom’s Monster Hunter series.
Nintendo dropped a ton of updates and announcements today, so we’re in for a ton of releases over the next few months. The new expansion for the Switch release will likely follow the trend of Iceborne in World. So far, we know a few things. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will launch on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2022. The game expansion will include a new zone with new monsters and sub-species to fight with. With new monsters, stories, and cutscenes, players are in for some violent treats.
This is the game’s first paid expansion, and has been joined by four various in-game events with crossover content.
We can expect the likes of gameplay trailers and other content to come out soon. The Direct didn’t have much for fans to chew on, but it’s at least something.
As Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak comes closer to release, things will become clearer about what we’re getting. If we do get a similar G-rank upgrade to the previous games, players are in for a major increase in hunt difficulty. Along with all of that, will of course come some new gear to craft.
