When does fruit respawn in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

How to upgrade Nook’s Cranny to Nooklings in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The various farming and gathering mechanics in Animal Crossing: New Horizons offer players a variety of options within the game to customize their houses and island, but also to get filthy rich by exploring their new home. You also have to interact with your new neighbors, but that’s a given in this franchise. You can even create custom flowers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to adorn your gardens.

In particular, many players of the new Switch release are taking to the forests to find their wealth. Fruit is extremely useful in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You can use it for food, sell it for Bells, or even turn it into furniture with the aid of Recipes and the Workbench. But whatever you do, you will need a steady supply of fruit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Sure, with the  new duplication exploit it’s very easy to just dupe some Bells limitlessly until it gets patched at least. Then you’re going to have to go back to finding fruit, fish, bugs and fossils. So if you want and easy and simple way to find the Bells you need, gathering fruit might be the path you want to take.

To gather fruit, just stand by a tree with fruit visible on it, and press the A button to shake it. Pick up the fruit with the Y button and it will be added to your inventory. However, there will be a bit of a lag time when it comes to fruit growing back after it has been picked. Native fruits will take three days to grow back on your trees.

So go out and explore the island around you to find as many trees as possible, and circle back to them to find more and more of the sweet loot. You can even replant some fruit and it has a chance of growing into a tree after a few days of care and watering. Whenever you have a new or old fruit in your inventory, you have the option of selling it, eating it, planting it to make more trees on your island. You will need to unlock the Shovel to access this option though.
