What to do with duplicate Legendary items in Diablo Immortal

Is there a Cow Level in Diablo Immortal?

Diablo Immortal has a lot of meat on its demon-killing bones. There’s tons of foes to slay, sure, but the game is more than just putting an end to demons. Players get tons of build variety and a lot of fun to be had, especially with friends. You can group up and play through the entire game, story and all, at your own pace. The game encourages both casual and hardcore play with plenty of challenge to boot.

There are a lot of new systems in this RPG. Don’t let it being a mobile game fool you, it’s much more complex than it appears.  There are a few other things to learn about this hit new RPG, so listen up. The Paragon leveling system is a bit different this time around, but mostly familiar. There’s also a more restrictive leveling system at play here, so keep that in mind. And if you find yourself not being challenged, trying a new difficulty in Diablo immortal might help. There’s also a battle pass to take on, if you want more consistent tasks to complete over your time with the game. If you’re having trouble finding your way around, try figuring out how to fast travel in Diablo Immortal to better orient yourself. If you want finer control over who you play with, try out the clans in Diablo Immortal to help control your friends. You could also learn to ID equipment if you like, being able to see what that new Legendary can do.

And speaking of Legendaries, you might have a few of them you don’t need. You will get most of your loot that’s targeted to your class, so it makes it much more useful for your target builds. That’s not always the case though. Sometimes you’ve finished a build and happen to get an item you don’t really need. That’s less true in terms of commonality for duplicate Legendary items in Diablo Immortal, but it’s not impossible for this to happen.

There are two approaches you can take to deal with this situation. You can either Extract or Salvage duplicate Legendary items in Diablo Immortal.

Salvaging duplicate Legendaries in Diablo Immortal

Salvaging items in this new game is very similar to the likes of D3. The salvage process takes the base item and breaks it down into a portion of it component parts. You can then put those ingredients to more items with reforging and other systems. If you have multiple versions of a legendary item in Diablo Immortal, one of the best things you can do with it is salvage it for parts.

Those resources are just more useful if you can make more items. This is best taken as a solution if you want to change up your builds. If you get useless Legendaries, you will be better served changing them over to an item you want to use instead.

Extracting Legendary Essence in Diablo Immortal

A more complex version of this process is Essence Transfer in Diablo Immortal. You can use Essence Transfer to take a legendary perk from one piece of gear and infuse it into a different one.

Extracting the Essence of a legendary item allows you to use the perks from that item on a compatible new item. This isn’t a 1:1 transfer all the time though, as you can only transfer certain stats to the same class of items. It’s worth noting that when an item goes through the extraction process, the item or gem is automatically lost after the process finishes. However, the materials are salvaged, so the player doesn’t miss out on getting resources from the lost item.

You do this by taking the item to Zamina in Westmarch. Players will also need 3,000 Gold in order to perform the extraction. With the perk extracted, players can now select Inherit to choose the equipment to inherit the new perk.
