What is the Power Cap for The Witch Queen expansion in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Throne World Trailer

The Witch Queen expansion in Destiny 2 is almost here. We’re a little less than a month away from launch, and players are getting antsy. And it appears as though players are expecting a pretty notable power increase with the new content. All players will be boosted to 1350 at the start of the Witch Queen and that will be the new floor for light power drops. Players won’t have to worry about rushing to get new gear to hit this level, as previous gear should be balanced around it.

What is the Power Cap for The Witch Queen expansion?

But one thing remains, what about the cap? Bungie has revealed some details about the Power Cap for The Witch Queen expansion, and it shows a pretty obvious progression. The impending launch of the new expansion has players gearing up for a brand new meta-game.  Bungie has balanced the game around light levels and power caps for some time, and the Witch Queen content looks to be no different.

You can find the required Power levels for the upcoming Witch Queen expansion below, along with explanations of what each cap means. There are four primary caps to worry about. Each one won’t be too much of a jump from the previous one, so there’s not too much grinding to worry about. You should remain competitive in many game modes even without perfect Pinnacle gear.

The Witch Queen for Destiny 2 will launch on February 22 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
