Watch Dogs Legion WD Credits Guide

Watch Dogs Legion WD Credits Guide

Watch Dogs Legion is out, and of course, it has microtransactions. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good game. The battle for control of the city of London and its future is in full swing. Following a terrorist attack in the city, players assume control of a hacktivist trying to help the city rebel against a technocratic dystopia. The return of Dedsec sees new systems added to the game in the form of recruiting operatives. The player will go throughout the boroughs of London, recruiting collaborators and civilians to fight back against this new threat.

But if you don’t want to actually play the game, you do have an option. There are two types of currencies in Watch Dogs Legion, ETO and WD Credits. The first of these is the in-universe currency. These can be spent on in-game upgrades and the like. Throughout the campaign, you will earn it from various missions.

Following that, you will eventually encounter microtransactions in the game. The Watch Dogs Legion WD Credits can be spent on various items in the in-game store. You can spend them on cosmetics of course, but there’s one thing that gamers are going to hate. Those who were around in the 360 era remember when singleplayer games offered “progression packs” that allowed players to spend real money on in-game resources and weapons. The same is true of this game. You can purchase high-level recruits, weapons, gadget upgrades and more in the in-game shop.

How to Get WD Credits

The short answer is you can only get these credits by spending real money. There does not appear to be any way to earn these in-game through normal play. Being a AAA game from Ubisoft, this was all pretty expected, as they’ve been doing this for years, Players could buy in-game items that effectively made the game pay-to-win for years now in various games.

If you do decide that you want to make these purchases, look on the in-game menu. Just open the menu, and scroll over to the Store tab. In the bottom right corner, you will see a box with a bunch of gold coins labeled WD Credits. Select this to bring up the different bundles you can purchase, along with how many you will unlock.

Here are the bundles and their prices for the Credits:

  • 500 WD Credits – $4.99
  • 1,100 WD Credits – $9.99
  • 2,500 WD Credits – $19.99
  • 4,550  WD Credits – $34.99
  • 7,250  WD Credits – $49.99

Each of these bundles can be used to buy a variety of items, although I really would not recommend it. Just play the game and not sully the experience by giving more money to Ubisoft.

The products below are affiliate links, we get a commission for any purchases made. If you want to help support ISKMogul at no additional cost, we really appreciate it.
