Warriors Orochi 4 showcases new gameplay for TGS 2018
Koei Tecmo has released a bunch of new info and trailers for Warriors Orochi 4, their upcoming entry into the long-running Musou franchise of games.
The big focus for the newest trailer for the game is brand new Deification System. The are a total of 170 characters in the game, and many of them can harness insane power in-game to essentially become godlike using this new mechanic. The characters that can achieve this heightened power level can use unlimited magic and launch unique physical and magical attacks.
But fear not if your favorite characters don’t have this awesome ability, as you have other ways to power them up. All playable characters have access to Sacred Treasures, which unlock powerful long and close range magical attacks. Players can also train their units up between battles, making their overall army much more effective in combat.
But that’s not all, with TGS 2018 underway, the devs also brought out a new playable demo which showcases a bunch of different mechanics. There’s plenty of in-battle gameplay mixed in with snippets from the upgrade and items systems, as well as some time spent discussing the multiplayer online modes coming to the game.
Warriors Orochi 4 will soon release for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 16th in North America and 19th in Europe. Check out both the newest gameplay trailer, and a general gameplay demo from TGS, down below.
