Vampyr resurrected with new difficulty modes

Vampyr

Dontnod Entertainment has announced a new update for the bloodsucking adventure that is Vampyr. The patch will add new game options as well as a coffin-load of bug fixes when it releases later this summer.

The two new modes exist on opposite ends of the difficulty spectrum, and allow Vampyr players new and old to experience the story in new ways. Hard mode does what it says on the tin, by making the enemies tougher and reducing XP rewards and upgrade availability. If the original experience was too easy for you, this should provide a nice new challenge.

Players can also have the option of playing through the campaign via the new ‘Story’ mode, which puts combat to the rear while forefronting the story above all else. If you just wanted to experience the narrative of the game, this is the option for you.

Vampyr is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. There is no release date for this patch, so just keep your eyes peeled. The game is also currently running a 25% off sale on Steam if that interests you.
