Underworld Ascendant is an abyssal dungeon-crawler that focuses hard on emphasizes non-linear progression. Players will be tasked with exploring the Stygian Abyss and leveling up with a huge and expansive skill and class system that gives players tons of power to explore the game world, all while crafting their perfect build.
Underworld Ascendant features a lot of dark and gritty themes, and it looks really pretty. That visual appeal helped the developers, OtherSide Entertainment, raise over $860,000 via Kickstarter for the game. In 2015 the team inked a deal with 505 Games for publishing help, and they’ve been quietly plugging away at the dungeon crawler ever since.
The game originally promised a release date in September, but per the latest announcement, the game has been pushed slightly back from that date. The game will now launch in November for PC, with console versions on PS4 and Xbox One to land sometime next year.
