Ubisoft details what’s included in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey patch 1.1.4

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft is planning to drop a ton of new and expanded content in February 2019 for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, starting with a new title update patch. Later this month, title update 1.1.4 will be released, and will include a ton of new additions.

The big portion of this patch brings out two new piece of major content for players to take part in. There’s the latest free content in A Brother’s Seduction which is the next part of the Lost Tales of Greece episodic content plan. In order to participate in A Brother’s Seduction, you will need to have completed chapter 5 in the main story.

There’s also the much-requested New Game+ mode which will allow veteran players to jump back into a tougher version of the game by porting their completed save file into this new mode.

The new patch also streamlines travel by adding new destinations to the in-game fast-travel system. There’s 22 new points in total.

In terms of the end-game, there’s a bunch of new content coming to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with this title update. The Mercenary system is having two higher tiers of challenge put in. There’s some new loot, rewards, 10% more Orichalcum and a bunch of new gear. To compensate, players will be able to level to 99 to be able to take on these tougher enemies.

Other aspects of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey are being adjusted as well, including photo mode and better accessibility options.

You will be able to alter the background behind dialogue to semi-transparent black, coming with three options:

  • Off: This will disable the background for subtitles and dialogue.
  • Subtitles: This will enable a background only for subtitles.
  • On: This will enable a background for subtitles and dialogue.

Subtitle sizes can also be adjusted with this patch.

Photo mode is also getting a few bits, with some new frames for players to experiment with. A total of 10 frames including: Athenian Theme, a Spartan Theme, the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey logo and crest, and more are being added.
