The Sims 4 to receive a Star Wars game pack in September

The Sims 4 Journey to Batuu

Yes, you read that title right, The Sims 4 is getting a themed pack for Star Wars. This continues the long tradition of bringing just about any kind of content to the life sim. The pack is called Journey to Batuu, and will feature a lot of content from the Disney-era canon, as well as Rebels content too.

Today during Gamescom 2020 Live, the Star Wars Pack, The Sims 4 Journey to Batuu, was announced. The pack will give players access to a variety of Star Wars-themed items including lightsabers, droids, and starfighters themed after various films in the iconic sci-fi franchise. I have to wonder if there will be Jawas or Ewoks. From the trailer, which can be seen below, we know we’re getting a Cantina-themed bar at the very least.

The new Stuff Pack is inspired by Disney’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Players will get access to The Sims 4 Journey to Batuu as DLC on September 8.

There is a themed tie-in as well, as the pack takes place on the Outer Rim planet of Batuu, home to Oga’s Cantina. The trailer shows off a bunch of iconic designs and tech, including droids, stormtroopers and more. Basically, the DLC is its own self-contained Star Wars adventure. Kylo Ren, Rey, and several other characters from the Disney canon as well as Rebels will show up to lend a hand.

The miniature game features a story about joining a faction and trying to take control of Black Spire Outpost. You can choose to join one of the following: First Order, the Resistance, or Hondo Ohnaka’s Scoundrels.

Each segment of the game pack will include missions that unlock new items both in the game pack, and in The Sims 4. Players can deck their homes in the main game out in a variety of new ways thanks to the DLC.
