The Sims 4 Seasons expansion announced – Coming June 22

Sims 4 Seasons Pack Announced

The newest major DLC pack for The Sims 4 has been announced. Coming on June 22, Seasons begin for Sims 4 players.

There are two major sets of additions on the docket for the Season2 DLC. The first major change is that Sims 4 will now feature dynamic weather and changing seasons. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter will all be represented visually with both changing terrain and scenery as well as a bundle of new assets and decorations for your Sim households.

These new seasons also introduce a diverse collection of in-game events and challenges to daily life for your Sims. So expect adverse weather conditions to affect gameplay in new ways. It’s been a while since I played The Sims, but it sounds like fixing frozen and burst water pipes, dealing with fires from lightning strikes and possibly even temperature extremes will all be common things for players now.

With a vast variety of weather elements that empower the ways players can play with life, The Sims 4 Seasons will allow players to use their Sims to tell relatable stories like those they’ve experienced in real life. The ever-changing weather will transform worlds in unique ways by impacting gameplay choices, Sim’s relationships, and Sim’s daily life, while also delivering new challenges,” said Grant Rodiek, Producer. “Our team has worked hard to bring this highly-requested expansion to the game, and The Sims 4 Seasons adds more dimension to The Sims universe than ever before.

The other major addition this time around is that holidays are being introduced to the game. So in-game analouges for Valentine’s Day, Christmas and more will now be a thing in this DLC. And of course, lots of new decorations and other items to burn your Simoleons on will be added, with various holiday themes represented.
