The Last of Us Part II gets into winter mood with new video

The Last of Us: Part II

The Last of Us Part II is not something that many people would associate with the holiday mood, but that hasn’t stopped Sony and Naughty Dog from dropping a new teaser trailer for the continued adventures of the spore-immune Ellie in the ruins of the old world. Based on the previous footage and teasers we’ve seen, this game is going to some rather dark places.

If you want to see more of the game, check out some details about the new NPC companions system which will be part of the sequel. Those companions could be characters like Yara, Lev, and the unnamed woman we’ve all seen in previous footage and demos. That unnamed character is the newly announced character voiced by Laura Bailey, which is pretty cool to see as fan of Critical Role.

Sony also dropped a new PS4 theme for the game, which is pretty cool. The theme itself is based on the 2017 Paris Games Week trailer, which saw the introduction of a ton of new characters. This new theme is all about kind of darkly mocking those crackling fire and yule log videos you find all over YouTube. Let’s just hope that the game keeps the dark humor coming, because we’re going to need some laughs with the game, judging by what we’ve seen so far.

The Last of Us Part II is currently in development for PlayStation , but at the time of this writing it still doesn’t have a firm release date. Check out the new teaser for the game down below.
