The Evil Within 2 adds new difficulty and cheats in update

The Evil Within 2

A new update for The Evil Within 2 has added new features, as well as a new gameplay mode that massively increases the difficulty in this mind-bending horror game.

Tango Gameworks and Bethesda have released two new gameplay additions to the horror game. Namely, there’s a new difficulty mode, as well as a bunch of cheats like super stamina and invincibility. So whether you’re wanting to challenge yourself, or you find the combat too hard to deal with, there’s now options for you to enjoy.

The new difficulty mode is called AKUMU, and is meant to be a challenge for the most die-hard players. It’s a direct reference to the first game, which contained a special mode of the same name. This mode contains much more vicious enemies, more difficult overall challenges, and even had a special ending. It’s the kind of difficulty mode that requires much more careful planning compared to normal play.

To unlock the aforementioned new difficulty mode, and the cheats, link your Bethesda.net account to your game in The Evil Within 2.

Other updates to the game have introduced new modes and gameplay bits. Xbox One X support has been added, as has a first-person mode for the full game.
