The Epic Games Store’s Black Friday sale is live

The Epic Games Store's Black Friday sale is live

Black Friday is a pretty huge shopping holiday in the US. Stores all over the country run various special discounts to get people in the door. And although the slapdash consumerism is often reckless to the point of danger, people still flock to buy low-priced electronics and other guff. Stores and online shops will often hype up these deals for weeks ahead of time, leading to a frenzy of impulse buying that retailers make millions of dollars on every year. The deals aren’t worth people’s lives though, as sadly some have even been killed as a result of the mad dashes that happen at store openings on Black Friday. And a lot of people avoid the holiday for this exact reason.

Cut to the last few years where many retailers have shifted towards online sales as a major focus, leading to the birth of Cyber Monday. And now we can count one more retailer who is getting in on Cyber Monday. That outlet being the Epic Games Store, which kicked off its Black Friday Sale today with discounts of up to 75 percent off.

From now until December 2nd, grab some sweet deals on top-shelf PC games. Various titles will be marked down up 75% off, so get them while you can. But don’t worry, there’s no limited quantities here, so take your time and shop around a bit. Borderlands 3 is on sale, and with the upcoming DLC, it’s a good time to grab it. The first campaign DLC, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, is set to launch on December 19.

Various big name titles have been handed discounts. The biggest one I’ve seen so far is Red Dead Redemption 2 being pushed down to $47.99, it was $59.99. The Outer Worlds and Borderlands 3 are also marked down, to $45 (25 percent) and $40 (33 percent) respectively. Outward is half-off at $19.99.

Many other titles are discounted to some degree. Epic even put out a simple preview trailer to hype up the deals, check that out below.
