Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition announces multiple premium versions

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition

Bandai Namco has announced a whole slew of new versions of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition for various platforms today. There will be two primary editions, a Premium Edition and the Anniversary Bundle.

We detailed a bit about these editions previously, but since Bandai Namco are really keen to push these cool bundles out the door, we’ll recap what’s included once again. There are multiple versions depending on where you’re from as well.

The two editions include different contents. Both will have the game, an artbook, and a Rapede metal case. The European Premium Edition will also include a set of collectible cards, a set of chibi character stickers, a set of pins, and a soundtrack across 4 CDs. The American Anniversary Bundle will come with a diorama display case with three acrylic keychains.

Bandai Namco has also made it clear that the Switch version will not require additional downloads in order to play. A concern that originally stemmed from a box art for the game that appeared along with the original special editions announcement. The company has taken to Twitter to clarify that the Switch version will be completely playable without additional downloads. The Switch version will ship on a 16GB SD card, so it will all be there on day one.

The game will launch for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and the Nintendo Switch on January 11, 2019. Interested gamers can pre-order the special and anniversary editions on the physical releases. The PC version will not have any kind of a collector’s or special edition, as it’s released via Steam.
