X47L-Q, Pure Blind, will now live in infamy within EVE Online. This previously easily-forgotten system in New Eden was just the site of a major battle between two of the most powerful NullSec coalitions in the game. But first, we need a bit of background so you can understand just how important this fight will
There’s a constant thread throughout the EVE Online community that contributions, no matter how small, should be met with some measure of praise. But there’s a catch, see, EVE Online is built quite heavily on the idea of making your own fun. And if you’re not having fun where you currently are in EVE, then
Update: At around 1:46 AM GMT the level of fighter DPS from the Imperium finally fell below the threshold to keep the structure timer paused. As TiDi made the timing of applying fighter DPS too slow to maintain, Imperium will now have to surrender the field as they can no longer destroy the structure before
The following opinion piece makes assumptions about the tactical and strategic nature of various alliances within New Eden. The motivations, targeted entities, and overall objectives are likely to change rather quickly. Take this piece with a grain of salt. A recent announcement from within the Imperium shows that the currently dominant NullSec coalition will be
Early in the hours of October 7, 2015 a Goonswarm-owned Supercarrier died in Deklein in the system of II-5O9. The cause for this loss was attributed to attempts by it’s pilot to help a tackled GSF carrier. The first carrier that was initially tackled by Pandemic Legion and it’s allies had been caught ratting in
Earlier today in the system of S-6HHN, Delve: A 70-man Pandemic Legion Black Ops squad ambushed a Revenant supercarrier. A lot of issues become apparent when first glancing at the killmail, but I’ll get to that plethora of stupidity in a moment. First, a short summary. The Super belonged to Double G, the head of
With the new sovereignty system less than 36 hours away, a lot of new developments have come to fruition and the potential nullsec political landscape changes are starting to take shape. This post will be my attempt at a general recap of some of the noteworthy events in the last week. ProGodLegend Departs Nulli Secunda
At 03:30 EVE Time in the system of 1-5GBW a POS belonging to BRAVE which contained a Supercap assembly array came out of reinforce. This was the second of these POSes in the system to come out after being reinforced by Black Legion. this week. After losing the first POS to a BL cap blob,
With small clashes breaking out all over New Eden this week, plenty of supers, capitals, and their pilots and crews met their end in these last tumultuous days of the month. HERO and BL. continue their skirmishing over Fountain, while Imperium and friends are spending time brawling in Providence. NC. and PL continue their wars
The recently created Pandemic Horde, the newbro-centric offshoot of Pandemic Legion, has begun work on their video series to teach newer players basic game mechanics. The ever-talented Hendrick Tallardar lends his video creation and voiceover talent to the video series. I suggest anyone looking for a quick primer on basic mechanics check this out. ISKMogul
In a shocking development, CFC head TheMittani has found out just how much the loyalty of PL costs. He has paid the nomadic mercs of Pandemic Legion to deploy to the regions of Esoteria and Feythabolis; with the directive to engage S2N assets there.
As more and more alliances and coalitions jockey for position to be prepared for the looming specter of "Fozziesov", a horde of expensive ships, including many supers, seem eager to explode. First up, a large scale ~1000 pilot engagement in Stain.
As PL and HERO continue to beat each other's heads in, the war just got much more serious. As the timer came out, HERO formed up almost 500 pilots in various ships. At first planning to go with their go-to doctrine of mixed DPS, Ewar, and support fleet, HERO was quickly caught on their back foot by PL. Who had opted to bring in a "wrecking ball" fleet of mostly Nyx, Aeons, Archons. and mixed subcap support, putting the total PL numbers at around 100 pilots. Local peaked at over 1000 during the heaviest fighting, as more people piled in. Pushing TiDi to a peak of 7%.
As HERO and PL continue their warring in Catch, today HERO caught a reprieve from the string of heavy losses they've suffered in recent days. Today's fight over the station armor timer in 3GD6-8.HERO brought a mixed doctrine. Ishtars and "Windrunner" Tornados for primary DPS, with Crucifier Ewar and Scythe/Scimitar Logi support. There was also a Cormorant/Hawk/Harpy and bomber support wing to protect the fleet against PL support fleets. The fleet numbers for HERO were about 250.
V-3YG7 system, Catch region. On the 14th of March, at 18:00 EVE Standard Time, a HERO Coalition fleet was annihilated en route to capture the FAT-6P system. The HERO Coalition fleet, a Tengu fleet of around 200 pilots strong, un-docked from the GE-8JV station, HERO Coalition’s staging system, and warped to the V-3YG7 Gate, in order to travel down the pipe and reach the FAT-6P system, which HERO Coalition has been attempting to conquer from Northern Coalition(dot).
Just before EVE Online Downtime on Saturday, Pandemic Legion decided to launch a heavy assault on the main Catch hub of GE-8JV. As the battle first began, the weakest timezone for HERO was slow to react. This was made worse due to no higher level command being online to coordinate a response. At first it was thought to be little more than an attempt by PL to troll HERO by hitting the station services with capitals. This quickly proved not to be the case.
CCP Games made a nice video commemorating the recent kill of a Revenant in Impass (Feb 28), they did it integrating it into the game’s lore: The Scope Galactic News Network reports on the destruction of an extremely rare Revenant-class supercarrier in the nullsec system of 6E-MOW, Impass. Coming off my AAR from the fight between PL and HERO, HERO member Cyberking11 released a great video from the HERO perspective that I thought I should share. ISKMogul GamingISKMogul is a growing video game publication that got its start covering EVE Online, and has since expanded to cover a large number of topics and
At around 23:00 EVE Time, HERO formed up to defend and rep the IHub in the Bloodline. system of HP-64T, HERO was able to muster a mixed fleet comp of around 230 pilots against the PL fleet of around 150. HERO had a fairly comprehensive fleet comp with Tengu/Eagle DPS support by the typical Minmatar
This morning one of the rarest ships in EVE, a Revenant, died at the hands of Pandemic Legion. The ship was piloted by Ingeneer of Prelium Ultima alliance who are primarily seen around Impass, as shown by the loss taking place in the system of 6E-MOW. The story started earlier this week, when PL noticed
In the early morning of the 24th February 2015 the station timer for F4R2-Q came out of reinforced and Pandemic Legion, as with any timer they are determined to win, dropped their super-capital fleet to ensure the strategic victory. In all Pandemic Legion dropped 10 of their super-carriers along with around 45 Archon carriers.Brave Collective,
Throughout the history of the game, there are a huge amount of tales and cautionary stories about how trust placed in an individual member can lead to the collapse and dissolution of an alliance. Band of Brothers, GoonSwarm, and dozens of others have been dissolved from the inside by directors who have betrayed what their
At around 0:00 EVE Time, the 3GD6-8 Station was due to come out of reinforce as the final fight in the system between PL and HERO. If HERO failed to rep the station and reset the timer, they would lose the system to PL. As a result the amount of response to CTAs from HERO
As PL moves into 3GD6-8 to claim the system as a staging system, HERO tries it’s best to resist and hold the system. The first two timers for the IHub and Station went the same way. Pandemic Legion countered the traditionally large HERO fleets with a large number of caps and supercaps. The first Armor
