One of the more useful abilities is the scanner in Cyberpunk 2077. You can use it to find both hidden secrets and enemies, it’s all really helpful in combat. You can also use the ability to tag enemies and track them. If you tag a big group, you will make your life easier when stealthing through combat, or when trying to set up an ambush. Here’s how to tag enemies in Cyberpunk 2077.
On PC, you can trigger your scanner active be pressing Tab. Do the same but press L1 or LB on consoles. When scanning, press the Middle Mouse Button on PC or click R3 on consoles. This will tag and track enemies. You might want to think about upgrading your Cyberware to get the best use out of this feature, as that opens up many more opportunities.
You will need the scanner upgrade first off. You can also make use of various Quickhacks, like the Ping. This will mark an enemy on your map while scanning, and set a tag on them so you can track their movements. Smart Weapons also have this feature. You can also use your scanner, when it’s upgraded to perform various hacks. You can jump between security cams and even tag enemies if you’re quick enough.
