Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reveals new Amiibos
Nintendo has announced a series of new Amiibo figures for various newly announced, and previously revealed, characters for the upcoming fighting game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
So if you’ve been wanting to build up your Amiibo collection, complete with more Smash Bros. swag, then now is the perfect time to save up to do just that. These new batches join the likes of Castlevania‘s Simon Belmont and his Echo Fighter Richter, as well as Metroid‘s Dark Samus and Fire Emblem‘s Chrom, as more offerings in the ever-expanding Amiibo line.
Without wasting any time, here’s the full list, along with release dates:
- December 7, 2018:
- February 15, 2019:
- King K. Rool
- Ice Climbers
- Pirannah Plant
- Young Link
The new figures aren’t really surprising, given that many of these are recently announced characters for the massive successful fighting game franchise, and Nintendo loves brand synergy, so of course they’re going all out and trying to give as much stuff to the fans as possible. And while some gamers might be disappointed by the actual selection of characters, it’s still nice to have something.
And there’s still some good news to tell, Sakurai revealed that Nintendo plans to eventually release these figures for every Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character in the game. Needless to say, but your Amiibo collection may be about to explode.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on December 7.
