Storm Boy showcases charming style in new trailer
Sony Interactive Entertainment teamed up with Australian developer Blowfish Studios to create a cutesy little indie game, Storm Boy.
This game based on the classic children’s book of the same name, he title is an interactive retelling of the novel. Those familiar with the 1960’s book will recognize characters like Mr. Percival in the game as well. You take on the role of a young boy located on the beaches of South Australia, near the mouth of the Murray River. Your job is to rescue pelican checks across a bunch of different levels.
The gameplay around these rescues is a variety of simple mini-games that make this game a perfect fit for younger gamers. The mini-games consist of sand drawing, sailing, cockle hunting, playing fetch with Mr. Percival, sand sailing, pelican feeding and more.
You can pick Storm Boy on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as well as iOS and Android when it releases next month on November 20. Check out the launch trailer for the game down below.
