State of Decay 2 Independence Pack DLC

In celebration of the 4th of July, American Independence Day, Undead Labs has released a new themed DLC pack for State of Decay 2, alongside its 2.0 patch.

State of Decay 2 has its own reasons to celebrate as well, the game recently surpassed 3 million total players, quite a milestone for a mid-tier zombie sequel.

The announcement from Microsoft includes lots of details about the new DLC and patch, so let’s dig in.

The Independence Pack adds multiple explosive new weapons, as well as custom-themed vehicles for a start. There’s also a new wandering trader that sells lots of unique and fun items to blow zambambos apart with. The Pyrohawk, the Burninator and the Meatwagon are all decked out in patriotic swag, so if that’s your thing, got for it.

As for update 2.0, it’s a completely free release that fixes bugs and adds tons of new content. 20 FREE new missions, nearly 10 new weapons, a “Rare Books” trader for new skills and plenty of improved gameplay, to be specific. There’s also a new class of “Revolutionary War” zombies to contend with in the new update.
