Iceberg Interactive has announced that Starpoint Gemini Warlords will be getting another update. There’s not any major content addons to coincide with this release though. But there is a Steam sale for 66% off the base game going on this week to celebrate the update. All of the story content and DLC packs are 50% off as well. Cycle of Warfare DLC for example, is only $4.99!
The newest update to the expansive space sim brings a raft of bug fixes and optimizations that make the game run much smoother. Although the biggest change in this patch is the complete rework that diplomacy and reputation has undergone. The in-game factions now react much more vibrantly to player actions, and many actions now have different consequences. The vastness of space is a whole new ballgame.
There’s also been a concerted effort to make the game easier to approach by changing aspects of the UI and in-game tutorials to make the basics of life among the stars much easier to grasp.
Starpoint Gemini is a long-running franchise of space sims that have developed ever-expanding feature sets since the release of the first game in 2012. Starpoint Gemini Warlords is the third game in the franchise and built on the groundwork of the second game by offering players an expanded universe and political system built around conquering and administering space.
