Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order reveals details about Imperial forces

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is all about one thing, struggle. The Jedi remnants scattered throughout the galaxy have been hunted to the brink of total extinction by Darth Vader and the the Imperial Inquisition, a force hellbent wiping out all opposition to the rule of the Sith and the dark side. And it falls to the player, taking on the role of Cal a Force-sensitive who escaped the nightmare of Order 66 and the fallout from that. But since then, his abilities have thrust him into the spotlight as a major fighter in the Rebellion to Restore the Galactic Republic.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is pushing this narrative as a major plot point, and it’s going to be quite explosive. Given that this game takes place during the waning days of Imperial power in the Star Wars galaxy, there’s a major force standing in the way of the Rebels and the remnant of the Jedi. As we’ve seen in other coverage, Cal is actually pretty good at his job of taking on the Empire.

These forces of the Inquisition certainly aren’t as menacing as the Warhammer 40K variants of the same name, but these badass dark Force users are on a mission nonetheless. Each of them has their own simple moniker, and it’s all being left intentionally very vague. It feels like EA is trying to build up some mystique. Judging from what little we’ve seen of these deadly hunters, it’s safe to assume that the Inquisition members each present their own challenges. One other particularly nasty force of the Inquisition that will hunt the player throughout the course of the story is the mysterious Ninth Sister:

The Ninth Sister is an imposing and dangerous Inquisitor. Her mastery of the Force is further enhanced by an extraordinary empathic ability to read minds. While less agile than other Inquisitors, during combat she utilizes her massive size, brute strength, and Jedi training to gain any advantage over her opponents.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming in hard, fighting for the future against the dark side, when it drops on November 15th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
