EA and DICE have announced some more details about a new update heading to Star Wars Battlefront II this week.
The big new entry with the upcoming patch is the addition of Sith Lord Count Dooku to the game. This new update will also bring new skins to the game. There’s a “Dark Ritual” variant based on Dooku’s designs from various Star Wars properties, and another unannounced Dooku skin will arrive in February.
Dooku, voiced by The Clone Wars voice performer Corey Burton, is the newest Hero coming to the battle. The Count Dooku update for Star Wars Battlefront II will be live tomorrow, January 23. Dooku is a powerful and destructive force in-game. He has incredibly powerful stunning potential with his Lightning, as well as he can target enemies with slower movement and an increased amount of damage taken from Dooku and his allies.
In terms of other content coming in the future, EA and DICE have more plans as well. The developer plans to drop another update this quarter which will include the young and Youngling-murdering (spoiler) Anakin Skywalker, as well as a “new” game mode that is basically the old-style Battlefront game mode with command points to capture.
The game recently got other updates prior to this new patch. Another major update recently put Geonosis, the climactic site in the Attack of the Clones film, into the game. Along with that patch setting the stage for Dooku, it also added General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi to the fray. All in all, you’re spoiled for choice with the heroes in this game, especially if you’re a fan of the prequel film trilogy.
