CIG publish community update on Star Marine FPS Module

Hull_A_Final

Despite some early reports that Star Citizen’s Star Marine FPS module has been canceled, the project is ongoing. In a CIG community forum post a few days ago, several new updates and changes have been announced. Among these is a new launcher version, the return of the cover system, and a series of fixes for animations and other bugs.

In an attempt to counter some of the negative reaction among the community, CIG has been hard at work to show some semblance of progress on the game overall. And frankly, it looks like it’s going well.

But this update was not without a bit of negativity, some issues and bugs still remain. Following the initial delay announcement, many have been clamoring for the release of the FPS module. However issues such as bugs with animation and weapon selection systems show that the release is still a long way off.

To cap off the update, CIG have also included the following video showing off new animation and rendering details for the module.
