Star Citizen releases new tutorial series of videos
Cloud Imperium Games has really been crushing it in terms of promoting and developing Star Citizen these past few months. The weekly Around the Verse updates have been great for boosting awareness and letting fans know exactly what the various teams behind this ambitious project have been working on.
Now, Star Citizen is prepping it’s 3.5 Alpha patch, and with it comes a new flight model and a ton of other new features. And because players, especially new ones, might be a little overwhelmed with all of the lore and gameplay mechanics that are being thrown at them, CIG wants to make sure you’re able to experience the world of Star Citizen to its fullest potential. To that end, there’s a newly minted series of tutorial videos available for you perusal. Each of the six videos covers a different aspect of the game.
If you want to learn some pointers, or if you’re curious to see what Star Citizen is all about, these are the perfect videos to sink your teeth into. There’s videos about getting into the game and finding your way around in the various environments, including stations, planets and in the vast darkness of space. And speaking of space travel, there’s another segment about Quantum travel, Star Citizen‘s version of warp speed.
If combat is more your thing, there are videos about dogfighting, shooting and the potential for vehicular combat you’ll encounter while playing. To put it simply, if you’re into blowing things up, Star Citizen will offer plenty of opportunity for that.
To see more Star Citizen news, check out some of the other Around the Verse videos, or maybe you want to see some more Squadron 42 gameplay. And even with the bad news about the Banu Defender, the teams over at CIG continue to work on planets, ships and new gameplay loops for the sci-fi MMO. There’s the Argo SRV still in the works. New character models for those who want a female avatar.
Check out the latest patch notes on the official site. The funding for the project continues to grow at a steady pace. As of writing Cloud Imperium Games has currently raised $219,262,318 from 2,254,870 backers overall.
