Cloud Imperium Games have released another weekly update for Star Citizen with a new Around the Verse. Character Art Director Josh Herman and VP of Marketing Sandi Gardiner bring us a new segment for Around the Verse for the week of September 7, 2018.
This latest video dives right back into the swing of things in terms of progress reports on various aspects of development for the game. The ongoing polish and backend work on the planetary surfaces and moons in the Star Citizen universe is coming along, so it’s nice to see that chugging along at a good pace.
In terms of other dev progress, teams are working hard on an update to the lighting system that makes materials on ships and props look much more realistic. Player housing is also getting a visual pass this week.
There’s also some new mentions of in-game events from the past week. The Daymar Rally fan group held another event this last week for example. There’s also a plug for the upcoming Con42 fan event coming up later this month in Germany.
