Spyro Reignited Trilogy delayed to November

Spyro the Reignited Trilogy

Toys for Bob, the developer of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, has revealed that the new remaster of the retro trilogy will miss it’s original release date.

In a blog post announcing the change, co-studio head Paul Yan was deeply apologetic, yet remained hopeful that the extra wait would result in a better game in the end. I guess this means that the game wasn’t quite polished enough for the developer to move forward, so they decided that Spyro Reignited Trilogy needed some extra time over the coals.

Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.

The adventure continues,

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is out November 13 on PS4, and Xbox One. Anyone who is at Gamescom this month will be able to play the game on the floor though, so that’s nice. There will be plenty of other playable demos there too, so you won’t be spoiled for choice.
