When Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales releases it’s bringing something much more unique to the fold. The game acts as a special spin-off from the main game on the PS4. Continuing the legacy onto the PS5 the new game will include a new story styled after the icon of the new animated film. Fans of the superhero wanted to dive into the role in the last game, and they’re finally getting the chance.
Insomniac has unleashed an 11 minute-long gameplay video showcasing the way the playable character will look, complete with the suit and other embellishments. The stylish and incredible Into the Spider-Verse suit will be a key part of the new game.
The trailer also teases some other stuff going into the game. The fans are getting both the iconic skin and some other treats as well. The developers will be putting Spider-Verse‘s iconic comic books-inspired animation style into the game as well as the costume. The whole thing is looking pretty snazzy, as the trailer showcases.
Check out the Spider-Verse‘s look in the trailer below.
The new suit has a ton of style to it, adding plenty of animations and effects to the game while you’re playing. You get to leap into action while being flashy, but not distractingly so. The gameplay will be affected a little bit as well, as the game implements the unique animations as Suit Mods. So if you don’t like the animations, you can just turn them off.
And even though Into the Spider-Verse 2 has been delayed to Oct. 7, 2022, there’s plenty to wait for that makes it worth it. Mike Fitzgerald, Core Technology Director at Insomniac Games, has made a lengthy and important Twitter thread detailing the work that went into the game and the whole suit. It’s a very interesting read that reveals the kind of effort that went into this game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12. You can get it on the PS4 first, but then move on to the PS5 version for free later on. The game also has a special Deluxe Edition that will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5. That version of the game will include Spider-Man Remastered, which includes a remastered version of the base 2018 game and its DLC.
