Spacelords’ New Trailer Highlights the Top Ten Changes

Spacelords going free to play

Raiders of the Broken Planet was recently relaunched as a free-to-play title with a new name, Spacelords. In fact, so much has changed with this relaunch that the developers, MercurySteam, saw fit to release an overview video discussing the changes in more details. There’s a lot to these changes so it would be best to just watch the video, but we’ll summarize them down below.

Spacelords will have a total of four campaigns, each with their own rewards and level structures. But don’t fret, you can switch between them at any time. And along with these campaigns comes dozens of new weapons and levels to have fun with.

In-game rewards for completing missions and the challenges with them have been altered significantly. And there’s even a system that will refresh the rewards throughout the day, encouraging players to come back and redo missions.

Spacelords will allow cross-platform play, and to accommodate this, matchmaking is being revamped as well. There’s even a new mentor system that will pair new players with veterans in the hopes of teaching rookies the ropes. The veteran in this scenario is awarded with extra goodies at the end.

All of this and more comes for the low-low price of completely free.

Spacelords is set to release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 23, 2018. Check out the video below for the full rundown of all the changes.
