Sony may not be attending E3 in 2020, but that does not mean they’re foregoing getting their round with the news cycle. And the gaming division is looking to do so in a strange, and kind of insane way. Experience PlayStation is a new month-long gaming event for Sony alone that will be running in New York throughout the next 30 days. Gaming fans can stop by in NYC during the run of the event to get daily reveals and news about various Sony projects.
Experience PlayStation (not to be confused with PlayStation Experience, by the way), is kicking off now. The interesting part is that this new event is a massive one. The news cycles for gaming are pretty constant. Anyone who has been paying attention to this stuff knows that full well. And having week-long events like major conventions are a common thing. But what’s a lot less common, and really much more irritating to cover, is that the company is packing in so many reveals and new content that the event will be a month-long marathon of video games.
“Experience PlayStation” is set to take place in the Sony Square space. During this time, attendees will be able to stop by between 12:00PM and 7:00PM EDT each day.
Gamers are hoping that they will get to see some news about the new big 2020 releases like The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima. Although the news doesn’t contain any mentions of these new games, there’s plenty of speculation around the internet today following this breaking development. Gamers are still hopeful that a full PS5 reveal, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
