Off-road sim SnowRunner has debuted a new trailer and various details for its SnowRunner Season Two DLC. The game is getting a massive boost of new content, including two new maps within an entirely new region. There will also be three new vehicles and new gameplay mechanics to fool around with.
The update is billed as the “Expore and Expand” DLC and heavily features the new region of Yukon. The Canadian wilderness is wide open with two new maps called Flooded Foothills and Big Salmon Peak. Expect plenty of snow and mud, as is par for the course with this game. To trek across this landscape, you’re getting a new monster of a truck in the CAT 770G, the biggest in the game. There will also be CAT TH357D AG forklift and the KRS 58 “bandit” that has its own crane. You’re probably going to have to use that to rescue some stuck vehicles or clear road obstructions.
The DLC also includes a new gameplay loop with the new maps featuring the Large Ore Processing Plant. Players will have to deal with large loads of ore as cargo, and truck it between these locales. It looks like players will be able to transport vehicles and other times across the map for various objectives.
The DLC will release alongside a free update for everyone. The game is getting a set of two new Trials and Xtreme Cargo missions that players can take part in. There’s plenty more to do with these paid and free updates. Players also get a bunch of new customization options to alter the vehicles as they please.
