Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut brings hilarious carnage to PS Vita

Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut coming to PS Vita

Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut is a wonderfully cheerful mix of murder and hilarity that’s been around for a bit on consoles. And now, the whole horde of cuddly little killers is stalking their way onto a new platform.

The game blends a horror-filled hunt for a killer with a cutesy puzzle game in what can only be described as a deviously unique mixture of fun gameplay and interesting visual design. The gory aesthetic has been muted somewhat by the blocky art style, which makes the whole ordeal strangely charming.

Here’s a short overview of the game from deveopers Blue Wizard Digital:

A killer puzzle game where you control Skullface, a psychotic slasher hellbent on revenge. Slide this adorably demented murderer around hundreds of isometric puzzle levels to squash, flay, and decapitate hapless victims in this darkly comic homage to ’80s horror movies.

Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut features hundreds of different levels, each with their own unique challenges. And since there are literally dozens of adorable killers to choose from, players are spoiled for choice when it comes to their favorite brand of gory fun.The devs have also released lots of DLC packs, including My Gory Valentine, Monthly Murderers Series 1 & 2, Santa’s Slay, and more.

The game is currently available on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One, and will launch onto PS Vita on November 6 in North America, and Novemeber 7 in Europe. Check out the Vita launch trailer for the game down below.
