Shenmue III gets a new release date and trailer
Deep Silver has more details about Shenmue III coming out of Gamescom this week.
According to the latest gameplay trailer, we now know the final release date for the continuation of the story of Ryo Hazuki. The new trailer showcases the improved graphics and revamped gameplay, as well as telling the tale of a prophecy that will come to define the experience. And as one would expect, we get to see Ryo put his combat abilities to the test in this new trailer. After all, it wouldn’t be Shenmue without someone getting into a fight would it?
The highly anticipated sequel first appeared in 2015, and after raising funds on Kickstarter, looked to be on track for a very successful release. Since then, fans have been clamoring for any news about the game. Because after a decade of waiting, we now have to wait another year, UUUGGGGHHH!
Fans may have a long time to wait, but at least we have the re-release of the first two games to tide us over. That remake just launched this week for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. There’s a lot more to see about the Shenmue I & II release than just one new trailer too. watch the previous English trailer showcasing the characters, and another about the new and changed features, on top of a video that featured a comparison between the game and the real Yokosuka.
