Shadow of the Tomb Raider new game plus announced
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is getting a new game+ mode with it’s launch, Square Enix recently revealed.
Enabling New Game+ will unlock three paths that the player can choose to shape gameplay within that run of the game to their liking. These three new modes are as follows:
Path of the Serpent
This new mode is all about stealth and subterfuge. You’ll need to use all your wits and abilities to distract, separate and pick off enemies across levels. Mud and camouflage lets you lash out your foes before slipping back into the shadows. Enemies will be more likely to seek you out though, so be careful.
Path of the Jaguar
This is a fast action mode of New Game+. It’s all about being quick and lethal with this Path. You’ll need to ferociously take out roaming packs of enemies with unbelievable speed and effectiveness. Enemies will focus on coordination and lots of heavy weaponry in their mission to take you out.
Path of the Eagle
This mode is all about tracking and surveillance. Use your passive perception to track enemies and learn their patterns, before swooping in for the kill. This mode looks to be a balanced combination of the previously mentioned Paths in terms of gameplay and difficulty.
The New Game+ mode also adds a batch of new skills and other gameplay elements to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In one example, players can earn abilities like “Jaguar Rage” or “Eagle Sight,” as well as a plenty of new weapons, outfits and other items by playing these new modes.
In other news about Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we recently learned that the game won’t be on the Switch. If you want to see more combat, check out the underwater trailer. You should also take a look at the Collector’s Edition of the game if that’s your kind of thing.
