Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice teases another boss, now it’s the Serpent

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Serpent Boss Trailer

FromSoftware has been on a roll recently, what with all the teases of the bosses and mechanics in their newest title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. There were already multiple teasers in circulation, one for the Lady Butterfly, a fast-moving menace with deceptively strong powers and speed. Then there’s the massive Chained Ogre, able to crush the player in a single blow. And now, we’re getting some new footage of the Great Serpent.

Just like the other teasers for bosses in the game, we can’t get much details here. We see the Great Serpent lunge toward the player as he makes a desperate dash for cover, perhaps avoidance and stealth mechanics will be at play here. We’ll just have to wait until release to find out.

Sekiro is a quite unique title, even for FromSoftware. The game features none of the typical trappings or gameplay loops of previous games from the legendary Japanese company. There’s no RPG-style leveling system to grind out. Sekiro lacks the typical equipment and build customization of the previous SoulsBorne games as well. There’s the infamous difficulty of course, which is made even more perplexing by an unknown new death gameplay system simply called the Kaisei system.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is due out in just about two weeks on March 22 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.You can take a look at the Serpent boss teaser down below.
