Rare has been really effective when it comes to new content and updates for their open-world pirate game Sea of Thieves. These “Bilge Rat Adventures” come out every few weeks and add new quests and other content for players to enjoy. And with Halloween right around the corner, things are about to get really spooky on the high seas.
On October 31st, Sea of Thieves players will be able to set sail in the Festival of the Damned event that sends them off to explore the Ferry of the Damned. The event details themselves are a little scarce, but we can expect plenty of new cosmetic items to be collected, as well as a boatload of new quests and treasure hunts to undertake. There will also probably be a lot of skeletons, so bring plenty of gunpowder and other explosive “treats” for those scallywags.
Sea of Thieves is currently available for $59.99 through various retailers, but it’s free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.Check out the trailer for the latest content expansion to the piracy-sim down below.
