Sea of Thieves gets a new gameplay trailer

Featured below, you’ll find a new one-minute gameplay trailer for Sea of Thieves. The open seas are calling and the kraken awaits. Sea of Thieves arrives on PC and Xbox One on March 20.

The open-world experience of Sea of Thieves is aimed at being as much an action-packed romp as it is a social experience. Teaming up with your friends to plunder booty is highly encouraged in this world. Customizing your pirate avatar and their ship is a huge part of the draw, and Rare want players coming back. So they’re building a great system for that customization with nearly limitless options for players to choose from.

Both pirates and ships will be upgradable and customizable through gameplay, both aesthetically and functionally. Pirates will be able to wear new outfits, find new gear, or even replace their limbs with classic prostheses. Ships can be fitted with custom figureheads, sails, upgraded cannons, and the like. More advanced items and upgrades will be readily apparent from their flashier appearance, making more dangerous rivals obvious from a distance.
