Good news Resident Evil fans, Capcom has decided to announce more zombie action this week, and it’s something fans will be very happy to hear. It seems like Capcom wants to take gamers on a reunion tour of sorts through mansions, trains and the countryside. Specifically, through some iconic settings from previous games in the Resident Evil franchise.
According to a new announcement from Capcom, several of the most iconic games in the Resident Evil franchise are getting new life on a new platform. That’s because Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil 0 are coming to the Switch. Some people may have already known this, as Capcom teased such a release a while back.
Pre-orders are set to begin on February 28th, with the full release planned to happen on May 21st. The interesting bit comes when we talk about the different versions of the game that will be available according to which region you’re in. North American gamers will be able to grab all three of these games individually on the Switch eShop, but there’s even a special release coming to physical retail. A new physical collection called Resident Evil Origins Collection, which includes Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 on the same card. In Europe, all three games are only going to be available on the Nintendo eShop, with Capcom promising to reveal more details about that prior to launch.
Resident Evil, Resident Evil 1, and Resident Evil 4 are all available on a multitude of current platforms, including PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and with this new release they will also drop on the Switch on May 21st.
