Resident Evil 2 Remake has some new PS4 Pro gameplay and screenshots

Resident Evil 2 Remake TGS 2018 Demo Gameplay

Leon and Claire are front and center in some new gameplay footage of the Resident Evil 2 Remake from Capcom. A new gameplay video from IGN featuring Claire Redfield getting into a frantic battle with two Lickers.

Resident Evil transitioned into an action-focused franchise years ago, and some fans were pretty disappointed about the changes. Capcom has heard these complaints loud and clear, and is seemingly reversing course with the Resident Evil 2 Remake. This new game is putting a hefty focus on horror, making the legendary enemies even more menacing and dangerous. One such enemy is the incredibly vicious-looking, but ultimately kind of disappointing, Lickers. And judging from this new gameplay, you won’t just be able to shotgun them and run past like in the original RE2.

The Lickers were introduced in the original Resident Evil 2, with the cutscene revealing the first creature being considered one of the most famous sequences in the franchise.

If you’re just hearing about this now, maybe check out some more gameplay from Gamescom. Then you should take a peek at the recent gameplay from Capcom UK. Maybe you’re a PC gamer who might pick this up, in that case you should check out the Resident Evil 2 Remake system requirements. If you want to be fully prepared for the renewed adventures of Claire and Leon, you might want to check out some details about the story. Or you could check in on the Collector’s Edition of the game that features a 12″ statue. And if you’re really a super fan, you could take a peek at the $900 typewriter themed for the game.
