Witch Queen Raid in Destiny 2 is about to land right in our laps. Guardians better get ready, as the war is about to begin. As we’ve seen from the overall content revealed so far, we’re getting a lot of focus on new worlds to explore, and new foes to conquer. The big new PvE raid will also be a major part of the Witch Queen story. Bungie loves to push out super-challenging raids to try and test veteran players, and this release seems like more of that. Along with the new content and power levels for gear, comes new endgame content.
What is the release date of the Witch Queen Raid?
To keep this short, let’s get into the details. The release date of the Witch Queen Raid will be on March 5, at 10 AM Pacific. Before that time, the content will be locked from player access, although the rest of the expansion will already be live. After it does launch, players will have to fight through complex mechanics and myriad bosses to finish the PvE mode. As always, the goal is to complete this gauntlet as fast as you can. You can bet that top-tier players will be rushing to get that world-first completion as soon as they can.
But the new Raid isn’t the only thing to look forward to. Bungie has said their adding new tiers to rewards and will be bringing back the mode that allows players to compare their skills, called Contest Mode. Bungie will be announcing all the details on Contest Mode, Bungie Rewards, and everything else close to launch next month.
And in case you were wondering, the goal is to give players time to farm more powerful gear. The Witch Queen Raid will come out shortly after the main expansion content, giving players time to explore the new stuff. The Witch Queen for Destiny 2 will launch on February 22 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
