Red Dead Redemption 2 Announced, Finally

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2’s release date has been confirmed. Rockstar Games have announced that the game will be playable on October 26. Sadly, there’s no confirmation of a PC port yet.

The announcement from Rockstar says that they “apologise to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.”

Rockstar is grateful to fans for their patience and excitement for the next chapter in the franchise. Rockstar is going to release more details in the coming weeks, so don’t get distracted just yet.

Hopefully some of that information includes a PC release date, or at least confirmation that it will actually come to the platform. So far, only PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game have been confirmed. It took almost 18 months for GTA V, one of the best selling games of all-time, to make the jump from console to PC. So if that timeframe holds accurate for Red Dead Redemption 2, PC gamers might have to wait until 2020 to get their mitts on it.

Let’s also hope that there aren’t more delays in the future for the much-anticipated title. While you wait, check out some official gameplay trailer goodness.
