The folks over at Playstation Underground have taken to the wastes of Raccoon City to check up on the Resident Evil 2 Remake. The latest gameplay footage for the game rejoins series badass Claire Redfield as she first encounters one of the most recognizable Resident Evil 2 enemies ever, the Lickers.
Kristen, Sid, and Mike from PlayStation walk us through one of the more iconic moments from Resident Evil 2, the first time you meet the Lickers. And don’t be mistaken, these genetic freaks were pushovers in the original game due to weapons like the Shotgun and Grenade launcher, but you won’t have that luxury of ease here. Capcom has redesigned the enemies and their encounters to make the whole experience much more spooky, and dangerous. The tone and setting of the remake has made this game much more challenging, and it’s looking like it could really put the horror back into survival horror games.
You can take a look at this new gameplay of the gory and horrfying Lickers down below. Resident Evil 2 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on January 25th, 2019, and fans are pretty excited about it.
