Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.7.1 Patch Notes

AMD Radeon Adrenalin Drivers

Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.7.1 has been released, bringing a few fixes to the current crop of AMD GPUs. The biggest focus here is that AMD has finally added a bunch of fixes players has wanted for a while.

One thing that’s a bit weird is that Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.7.1 does not support the HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling) as a performance boost for some users. Some people noticed that HAGS was helpful for improving performance slightly in some apps. The feature was there in the beta of 20.5.1 drivers, so seeing it removed this revision is strange.

A major fix includes addressing some black screen bugs that users noted in some games. Many gamers reported that the 20.5.1 drivers caused blacking out of the display in some games, and it appears 20.7.1 has fixed some of these problems, although maybe not all of them. It’s important to note that some issues remain, like Enhanced Sync having these problems still with the new drivers.

Some other specific fixes related to titles experiencing hitching on RX Vega and RX 5000 series cards. There are also fixes for certain games like Saints Row: The Third Remastered, DOOM Eternal, DOTA2 and several others. You may want to update to the new revision if you had issues in newer games, as these drivers could fix those problems.
