Psychological horror title Infliction announced for console

Infliction Console Announcement Trailer

Indie developer Blowfish Studios has some good news for fans of horror titles. They’re finally bringing the previously PC-exclusive horror experience, Infliction, to various consoles.

The game is making the jump to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch before the end of this year. Price points for the title will peg it as a budget title, landing around $20 US, so if you’re on a budget and hunting for some spooky scares, here’s a great option. In terms of gameplay, not only is it an immersive horror experience, but it also has plenty of twists and turns, and not all of them are obvious.

Infliction also features in incredibly detailed locale, namely an extremely terrifying house, that morphs and shifts as you play. The deeper you journey into these halls of madness, the deeper you sink into some truly horrifying moments. The setup sounds very familiar to another excellent horror title-P.T., Hideo Kojima’s take on Silent Hill which was shuttered by Konami a while back. So if you want recapture some of that fright, this may be the game for you. The game is billed as an “Interactive Nightmare” so it’s definitely one to give a shot if the genre appeals to you.

Infliction will also be one of Blowfish Studios playable titles at PAX West 2019. So if you happen to be in Seattle around that time, go and take a look. By the way, PAX West runs from August 30 to September 2. If you want to get a look at the game before then, try taking a peek at the console port trailer down below.

The game will release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch sometime in Q4 2019.
