PS4 Pro is getting a price cut in Japan, limited glacier white version getting normal release

Sony Warranty Changes

Sony has announced that various SKUs for PS4 Pro consoles are being cut in price, at least in Japan.

Starting from October 12th, the 1TB console ‘s price will be axed to 39,980 yen ($351) plus taxes, which is a significant cut from the original price at 44,980 yen plus taxes. The Kingdom Hearts III Limited Edition PS4 Pro bundle will get a discount, down to 48,780 yen plus taxes.

And although no price cut has been announced for the base PS4 models, nor for models being sold internationally in North America and Europe, fans are hopeful that the international arms of Sony will follow suit with discounts. We’ll just have to wait and see whether an official announcement is released confirming this potential development.

In addition to the price cuts, the company has announced that a previously limited-run console will now see a wide retail release. The Glacier White version that was released in limited quantities in March 2018 will be sold as a regular product in the future.
