With Tokyo Game Show ongoing right now, we’re getting tons of new footage and details of different games, and now we’ve seen some new gameplay footage of the newest game from the developers behind the Yakuza series.
We covered Project Judge, otherwise known as Judge Eyes in Japan, a few weeks ago and now we’ve got a deeper look into the gameplay and story of the title.
It’s undeniable that the heart and soul of Yakuza beats within this game, but there are some pretty glaring differences here that set Project Judge apart. One such quality we see in the latest gameplay footage is that the mini-games features in this new game are much weirder than anything we can recall seeing in Yakuza. VR board games and drone racing, I mean come on, that’s so strange right?
In terms of other gmaeplay elements, we see some investigate mechanics that involve a tailing mission and some other aspects. Later in the demo there’s also some snooping for clues that plays into the gameplay loop of being a detective on a case that’s part of the game.
Check out the latest gameplay footage of Project JUDGE down below. The game releases for PS4 in Japan on December 13th. A western release is coming later in 2019.
