Pokémon: Let’s Go will feature Meltan’s evolution, Melmetal

Pokemon: Let’s Go Reveals Meltan Evolution

Nintendo has announced more details about the newest Legendary in the Pokémon franchise. We now know that Meltan can evolve into the superpowered, and super-sized, Melmetal. this Steel-type Pokémon is a massive 1,700 pound beast with a lot of strength to throw around. The Pokémo also has a new move called Double Iron Bash, which can do a ton of raw damage.

Meltan can evolve into Melmetal in Pokémon GO by using 400 Meltan Candies, and that means one thing. You’re going to need to capture a ton of Meltan and send them by the dozen to Professor Willow. Once you’ve managed to evolve a Meltan, it can then be transported from the mobile game to the Switch version. I hope Nintendo and Niantic keep more of these collaboration events going in the future.

Pokémon: Let’s Go will feature a bunch of other unique features too.

You can become a master trainer in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! by battling your way through the Elite Four and a new spate of Master Trainers. The game will also feature various Legendary like Mewtwo and the three Legendary birds.

In other Pokémon news, Pokémon GO is running a pair of new events. Niantic is running a new raid and capture event for Halloween featuring the Legendary Giratina. There’s also a Gengar Day event coming up which will see Shiny Gengars added to Pokemon GO.

Check out some screenshots of Melmetal in action below—Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! and Eevee! will release for Nintendo Switch on November 16. You can also check out a new preview trailer for this new addition down there too.
