Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!/Eevee! amps up the social elements in new trailer
Earlier today Nintendo hosted a livestream for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!/Eevee! which showcased various new gameplay elements. We saw how capturing and customizing Pokémon would work in the title, very similar to Pokémon Go, and we also saw various mini-games and other gameplay elements. And now, we’ve got a new trailer for the upcoming adventure game showcasing how the social mechanics work.
In the upcoming Pokémon game for Switch, adventuring will be a much more social affair compared to other entries in the franchise. In the live-action trailer we see players working together to catch different Pokémon. We also see how the new Pokéball Plus will work. In short, it’s a motion peripheral that adds vibration and audio feedback to gameplay in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!/Eevee!, so you’ll hear the unique cries of different Pokémon you encounter for example. There’s also some teases of the new co-op segments that will be part of the Switch game, as well as how integrations with popular mobile game Pokémon Go will allow trading and catching or rare critters.
As this new trailer demonstrates, you may need friends to help you out from time to time on your journey. And as you progress towards becoming a Pokémon master, those friends will become much more important as the difficulty increases.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch from November 16, 2018. Check out the latest trailer for the game down below.
